You shouldn't have to compromise between style and substance when it comes to your wedding cake. The age old cliché is really true - it needs to taste as good as it looks.
Taste is hugely important to me, and I'm highly passionate about the quality of ingredients that I use, because I truly believe that a great tasting wedding cake always begins with the best ingredients.
My recipe for the best tasting wedding cakes
I use free-range Perthshire eggs delivered to me directly from my local farm just outside Dunkeld, Rotmell Farm. My butter is sourced from small artisan producer near Edinburgh who use traditional production methods, and brings a unique twist to my cakes. I order British milled flour direct from bakery suppliers and, whenever possible, I use seasonal Perthshire berries to make my own fruit compôtes and jams. My pantry is always stocked with lots of fine Belgian couverture chocolate, Madagascan vanilla bean pods and luxury Swiss sugarpaste icing.
Using these ingredients as my starting point, I've put together a carefully curated selection of flavours to create my cake menu. All my cakes are baked from scratch and my fruit compôtes, curds, caramels and ganache fillings are all made in-house too. Whatever I don't make myself, I endeavour to source from local artisan producers.
With the right balance of taste, texture and deliciousness, you can be sure that your cake will be just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.

For a truly bespoke wedding cake with flavours as unique as you, I offer a personalised cake flavour development service.
I love to bake and come up with new flavours, textures and combinations, so I'm putting my experience to good use offering this exclusive optional add-on to your wedding cake booking experience.
Working together, this service allows us to create you a truly unique wedding cake flavour influenced by your favourite flavours, local produce or foodie ingredients, and inspiration in keeping with your wedding season. One of my favourites so far has included red wine and chocolate!
Pricing for this option starts from £100 and includes a cake tasting.
Allergens and dietary requirements
All of my cakes are prepared in an environment where gluten, nuts and various other allergens are handled. At this time, I do not currently offer egg-free or dairy-free cake options. Many of my recipes can be adapted to make delicious cakes without gluten and I offer plenty of nut-free options, but please note that I cannot ever claim to be 100% allergen friendly due to the risk of cross-contamination and airborne particles in my kitchen.
